At 15:37 UTC on October 27 — ten minutes before Wowhead's [Updated] writeup went live — Kaivax, Blizzard's community manager, posted a short addendum to the pinned "WoW Forever Beta Development Notes" thread on the official forums: three numeric racial changes the October 26 final pass never listed, plus one rule for Skyborne's hour-long buffs. Orc Blood Fury's cooldown drops from 3 minutes back to 2, Troll Berserking runs 15 seconds instead of 10, Undead Touch of the Grave's internal cooldown shrinks from 25 seconds to 15, and Skyborne's Charged and Attuned now persist through death — and are removed upon entering a raid. Blizzard's stated reason fits in one line: these were "additions that were intended to be listed." They weren't. The site's own writeup of the October 26 final pass went up hours earlier, and none of the four items were in the official list it covered.

What the addendum says

Post #8 of the thread is short. The numeric changes, verbatim:

  • Orc: "Blood Fury's cooldown reduced to 2 minutes (was 3 minutes)."
  • Troll: "Berserking duration increased to 15 seconds (was 10 seconds)."
  • Undead: "Touch of the Grave internal cooldown reduced to 15 seconds (was 25 seconds)."

The Skyborne part carries no numbers, just two timing rules: "Charged persists through death, and is removed upon entering a raid." "Attuned persists through death, and is removed upon entering a raid." Death no longer clears either buff — stepping into a raid does. The October 26 text said only "persists through death," with nothing about raids.

Two follow-up moves happened in the same thread. About 70 minutes after the addendum, at 16:47 UTC, Kaivax merged every one of these entries into the original October 26 post, so the thread's main post is now the complete list. Wowhead's report (news ID 383602, 15:47 UTC) carries an editor's note of its own — "Edit #1 (10:00 AM): A change to Troll Berserking has been added" — making trolls an addition to the addition.

Why these three, and why they were missing

The October 26 notes put racial identity first: Blizzard accepted that some races will be slightly better at certain combat roles, and rolled back generic replacements — with one carve-out for weapon-specialization racials like Human Sword Specialization and Orc Axe Specialization, which stay retired because, in the official wording, "it is not healthy in the long run for future raid and dungeon loot tables to be evaluated through the lens of 'required' weapon types." The races listed that day were Human, Dwarf, Tauren, Orc and Skyborne. There was no Troll section and no Undead section at all, and the Orc entry covered only the removal of Savage and the return of Command (+5% pet damage for Warlocks and Hunters) — no Blood Fury number.

Blood Fury's cooldown has been on a round trip: the October 16 build notes raised it from 2 minutes to 3, and eleven days later it is back to 2. The Undead entry has a naming wrinkle, too — the 25-second internal cooldown first appeared in the October 16 notes under the name "Touch of the Dead," while the addendum calls it "Touch of the Grave."

What Blizzard hasn't said

An effective date is not announced. Whether more entries will be appended is not announced. Official Chinese names for Touch of the Grave, Charged, Attuned and Skyborne are not announced, so this article keeps the English terms. Every value above comes from official text and blue posts, not in-game testing — treat them as final only once the game is live. And for the record on freshness: the addendum was about 69 hours old at the time this was written (13:02 UTC, October 30), not day-one news.

Before name reservations close

Name reservations opened October 27 and close November 3 at 23:59 Beijing time. The global launch follows on November 5 Beijing time, and the first three raids open together on December 9. Race picks are being made right now, so the practical read on each change:

  • Troll: Berserking at 15 seconds (was 10) stretches the burst window by a third for every troll damage spec.
  • Orc: Blood Fury on a 2-minute cooldown lines up with 2-minute raid cooldowns; Command's +5% pet damage only helps Warlocks and Hunters.
  • Undead: Touch of the Grave procs nearly twice as often with a 15-second internal cooldown (was 25).
  • Skyborne: Charged and Attuned survive death but wipe on raid entry — count them for leveling and dungeons, not for December 9.

The addendum sits at post #8 on the official thread (https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/2360696/8), with Wowhead's transcription at https://www.wowhead.com/news=383602/more-racial-ability-tuning-on-wow-forever. Settle your race list first, then submit your reserved names — the window closes November 3.
