Two official WoW: Forever videos landed within hours of each other this launch week, and MMO-Champion relayed both on October 31 — the first at 13:21 UTC, the second at 15:47. The earlier post points to Planet Azeroth EP. 2 (ft. Bill Bailey) on IGN's YouTube channel: 5 minutes flat, back in Stranglethorn. The later one covers WoW: Forever Journey EP. 2 on the World of Warcraft channel: 22:51 of Guzu, Zibartas and GingiTV hauling a full gaming rig into the Råbjerg Mile, Denmark's migrating dune. The global launch (November 5 per Blizzard's China-published calendar) is now five days out.

Episode 2 changed channels, not the formula

Planet Azeroth Episode 1 went up on the World of Warcraft channel on October 28 (6:47 — the site has that story). Episode 2 sits on IGN's channel instead, and the description says so plainly: "Sponsored by World of Warcraft." MMO-Champion's framing matches — "IGN has released the second episode of Planet Azeroth." The deadpan nature-documentary formula survives the move. This episode works Azeroth's shoreline:

  • The crocolisk, disguised as a mossy log: "Try to have a picnic on it. That would be a mistake." Bailey's summary line: "In Stranglethorn Veil, even the scenery has an aggro radius."
  • Booty Bay: goblins, gankers and pirates — plus the opposing-faction players whose favorite trick is getting you "brutally murdered by the local guards," which the episode calls a rite of passage for everyone entering the bay. On pirates specifically, Bailey clarifies he means "the swashbuckling kind. Rather than the type that goes soft and abandons you to be mauled when the situation gets dire."
  • The Stranglethorn raptor: "intelligent, fast, and fiercely social, very much like myself" — and a public service announcement on unintended pull mechanics: "Keep your pets on passive."
  • Tigers and panthers: when Nesingwary asks you to hunt 10 panthers, Bailey's advice is to tell him to do it himself "and go and find King Bangalash while he's at it."
  • The closer is a gryphon-airline parody: "Daily departures year round," "22 slots of bag space included," "two gold off for a party of five" — terms and conditions note that "refunds [are] not available in the event of death," and Horde and Alliance travelers are both accepted.

(Quotes come from the video's subtitles, with a few spellings corrected from context.) Per the IGN page the episode runs 5:00 and stood at roughly 329,000 views and 6,200 likes when checked on November 1.

Forever Journey EP. 2: a quest chain in the dunes

Forever Journey Episode 2 is on the World of Warcraft channel, dated October 31, and the description opens on the setting: "Sandstorms are rising over Råbjerg Mile..." The episode's spine is a real-world quest chain. The trio reads their first letter in the van — "Objective: reach the first waypoint. Rewards: a new way to play." — and the second letter's warning, "even the most relaxing stop can become a problem when the journey decides to continue without you," pays off on camera when the driver literally leaves them on the dune.

A cosplayer guest (called Spartacus in the video) shows up mid-episode with a hand-built Doomhammer replica: it packs a gyro and an accelerometer for effect when you flip it, plus a pressure sensor in the handle that can "get a little bit of charcoal going." Every piece was individually digitally sculpted and 3D-printed, at "14-hour work days... for literally like 2-3 weeks." His first cosplay was Nozdormu; his launch plan is a Human Paladin, justified the way cosplayers justify things — T2 Judgement looks great.

The play session itself is a three-man dungeon-less dungeon: paladin, warrior and Gingi on a healing priest, with one objective — kill Hogger. Attempt one collapses into an aggro mess; attempt two, on a wide circle, lands the kill. A riddles segment on the road runs from Gamon ("Killed for a laugh, again and again") through Mount Hyjal to the tram. And the sign-off sets the series' next stop: "It wouldn't be Denmark without a little bit of rain... next time, I'll see you in Sweden."

Where this fits in the launch calendar

Neither premiere date is a surprise given the week. Per Blizzard's announcements: the Beta closed permanently on October 24; pre-purchase name reservations run through 11:59 PM November 3, Beijing time; the global launch lands November 5 (China-published calendar); and the first three raids — Barrow Deeps (10-player), Hyjal Summit (20-player) and Onyxia (40-player) — all open on December 9. The two videos are part of the official content run-up to that.

Not announced

  • An Episode 3 date for Planet Azeroth, and total episode counts or cadence for either series
  • The full Forever Journey itinerary — the episode names exactly one future stop, Sweden; Episode 1's release date is also not in the sources checked for this story, and the site hasn't covered that series before
  • Subtitled releases or distribution through China-region channels for either video
