Before a five-player run, check two Priest changes: Binding Heal has been removed, and Shadow Word: Death deals backlash equal to 30% of maximum health when it fails to kill. The launch-preparation notes supersede the September preview.

Train, then check your bars

The official class preview lists Fear Ward and Devouring Plague for all Priests at level 20, Divine Spirit at 30 and Shadow Word: Death at 32. Newly learned spells no longer automatically appear on action bars. Check your spellbook after training.

For solo quests, learn your mana use on single enemies before chaining pulls. We have no current leveling-speed comparison; historical Priest builds are not current recommendations.

Holy Binding is a passive talent

Holy Binding replaces Binding Heal. Flash Heal cast on someone else also heals you for 50% of its healing, without threat from that self-heal. It is not a separate Binding Heal button, nor does self-casting copy healing to an ally. Only expect the effect if you selected the talent.

Our preparation advice is to establish targeting and healing keys, watch incoming damage and mana, then consider spare damage casts. This is not a fixed healing rotation.

Leave room for Death backlash

A failed kill costs 30% of maximum health; a missed spell no longer damages the Priest. Avoid risking it while low or before incoming area damage. The notes also fix Cure Disease and Abolish Disease incorrectly leaving Shadowform.

Agree on your role, bring drinks and check trained utility before entering. Use the dungeon directory for location and level references. No live healing-output or clear-time testing is claimed here.
