Scope: This is a Classic route reference, not a fully tested Forever route. Verify recipe thresholds, quantities, yields and Legacy effects in the current client before buying materials.
What's new for enchanters in Forever
The only "reverse" profession — it feeds on green gear, not ore or herbs. Forever's changes are substantial:
- Ring enchants: community reporting (mmo-champion, Sep 2026) says Forever enchanters can enchant rings — impossible in vanilla, i.e. two extra enchant slots for every class. Reported, subject to launch.
- Craftable staves: the same reporting mentions enchanter-made staves, giving casters a crafted option beyond scrolls.
- 63 new recipes (beta datamining).
The 1-300 route
Tier gates: Apprentice 5 (75), Journeyman 10 (150), Expert 20 (225), Artisan 35 (300). The core loop: buy greens → disenchant for points → enchant for points. Disenchanting itself grants skill early on.

Three habits: greens are the real cost — sweep the auction house for cheap bulk greens (or feed yourself from Skinning/Tailoring); enchanting is the only trade with steady post-300 demand (every raid piece wants enchants — doubled if ring enchants land); order your rods from a blacksmith in advance.
The Legacy line
Working Overtime (+4-20% skill-up chance, and enchanting rolls twice — disenchant and enchant), Bartering (discounts on trainer and vendor costs), Dedicated Study (daily +1), and the certification title at 300. Full table on the Legacy page.
