In classic-era play, your teammates' professions were their own business; Forever turns them into a group affair — the campsite system lets every profession place one object that buffs the whole party. Post 33 (professions by class) covered which professions fit which class; this sister post is the object list itself — stock the camp before you pull.
Scope notes: numbers are mostly community-measured (9-20 through 10-05), with conflicting community figures shown side by side and longer correction chains flagged. Everything defers to the in-game panel.
How the camp works: three slots to start
The campfire base has 3 slots by default; a cook's campfire upgrades to 5, even 10 — so "having a cook in the group" is itself a buff. Objects belong to the profession that placed them, but the buff is party-wide; same-type buffs take the highest value and don't stack.
The object list, by profession
| Profession | Object | Buff | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blacksmithing | Whetstone Wheel | melee buff: +6 Strength / attack power (two reported versions) | tested ⚠️ |
| Mining | Magnet | +12 attack power, does not stack with Blessing of Might | tested 10-05 ⚠️ |
| Leatherworking | Tent | +5% rested XP accumulation | tested 10-05 ⚠️ |
| Fishing | Fish Tank | all stats +8% (roughly a Blessing of Kings) | tested 10-05 ⚠️ |
| Herbalism | Incense Candle | intellect | community guide ⚠️ |
| Tailoring | Faction Banner | spirit | community guide ⚠️ |
| Alchemy | Lab (potion workbench) | advanced potion crafting | datamined ⚠️ |
| Leatherworking | Fleshing Board | advanced recipe workbench | datamined ⚠️ |
| Cooking | Upgraded Campfire | base 3 slots → 5/10 | community guide ⚠️ |
Two correction notes: first, the early rumor "mining camp object = +5% health from Metal-made" was corrected — the real effect is the magnet's +12 attack power, non-stacking with the paladin's Blessing of Might (highest-value logic). Second, the whetstone wheel has two measured versions (+6 Strength / attack power) — same direction (melee benefit), value pending unification; check your panel in game.
Don't miss: cooked food is itself a buff
Beyond camp objects, Forever's cooked food is a dual consumable — stats plus an XP bonus. A standing food buff is the highest-value personal perk while levelling. With the leatherworking tent (+5% rested accumulation) and the bedroll's 3% group XP (see the bedroll walkthrough), you can stack three XP layers.
The crate economy: free blueprints during the launch window
Parallel to the camp: loot "Pillaged Crates" from mobs → trade at the Barrens NPC for faction tokens → redeem strong plans for blacksmithing, enchanting, leatherworking and tailoring (50 tokens per quest run; 30 tokens buy a low-tier blue plan — a full 10-20 set). This opens a second blue-gear source outside dungeon first clears — craftable at 45 blacksmithing, covering the group's plate, mail and weapons.
Suggested profession split for a launch group
Reading the list backwards, an ideal five-person launch crew: blacksmithing (wheel + crate plans), mining (magnet + ore for the smith), leatherworking (tent + workbench), fishing or cooking (tank/upgraded fire + food), alchemy (potions + lab). Gathering itself is hard currency — this split maxes XP, stats and supplies for everyone at once.
The other half of the pairing question — which profession per class — is all in post 33. If the in-game numbers differ from this post, the panel wins; the camp system is still being tuned (the first engineering camp recipes unlock at 20, system under redesign), and we'll update as versions land.
