The Fermentation Barrel allows certain materials to be crafted and retains all the benefits of a Mana Well. It requires a nearby campfire and can be placed over a Mana Well to replace it.〔1〕
Why it is worth watching
The interesting prospect is bringing an intermediate Alchemy crafting step into camp. The word fermentation in its name does not establish a waiting period, offline production or automatic processing. Those possibilities need to be checked through the relevant recipes and records of actual use. Alchemists should first identify which materials depend on it, then decide whether they need this facility while traveling.〔2〕
