Preview based on the China-region Forever 1.60.1.70245 zhCN client, compiled on October 9, 2026. Client records do not establish live availability or behavior. In-game testing is incomplete and hotfixes may change the results.
Plaguelands Rider points to a set designed around specific zones. Its two-piece effect is not described as general movement speed: it explicitly requires being mounted in Eastern or Western Plaguelands. That makes it an interesting travel-equipment lead, but not yet an actionable farming route.
What makes this set worth examining
The set definition lists three item IDs and two- and three-piece rewards. Those IDs have no matching names, slots or required levels in the decoded Chinese item details available here. The IDs are retained for further verification. Missing records are neither assigned invented names nor treated as proof of removal.
Set ID: 2130. Components and bonus thresholds follow this extraction. [1]
Components and equipment requirements
| Component | Item ID | Slot | Quality | Item level | Required level |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Unconfirmed component #284102 | 284102 | Slot unconfirmed | Unknown | Unconfirmed | Unconfirmed |
| Unconfirmed component #284101 | 284101 | Slot unconfirmed | Unknown | Unconfirmed | Unconfirmed |

Item level and required level come from decoded client fields. Final attributes, armor and durability have not been calibrated. Any simulator reference values in the interactive viewer are separately labeled and are not current-server values. A required-level value of 0 does not remove other use conditions. [1]
Set bonuses and activation thresholds
| Pieces required | Description | Spell ID |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Increases mounted movement speed in Eastern and Western Plaguelands. The percentage requires verification. | 1315080 |
| 3 | Melee attacks have a chance to lash the target for Shadow damage. Damage and trigger conditions require verification. | 1315077 |
Descriptions are English editorial renderings of the extracted text. Unresolved numerical variables are not filled from older versions; any percentages already present in the source are not measured proc rates. [2]
Acquisition: what is actually established
It is not yet known whether these items come from quests, vendors, creatures or another route. An effect that works in the Plaguelands does not prove the equipment drops there. The set name cannot identify a particular dark rider or quest chain either.
Implications for gearing and collecting
If these items appear in game, capture full tooltips, item links and the actual acquisition process. Then compare the effect while mounted inside and outside the two Plaguelands zones and test stacking with mounts, enchants and other speed modifiers. This lead alone is not enough to plan a farming trip.
What still needs verification
- Identify all three item names, equipment slots and complete tooltips.
- Record the quest, NPC or drop source, separating acquisition location from the effect's active zones.
- Test the mounted condition, zone boundaries and stacking with other speed effects.
Sources and scope
[1] Our extraction of the China-region Forever 1.60.1.70245 zhCN client: ItemSet and ItemSparse provide set IDs, component relationships and decoded equipment fields. Known English item labels use the site's WoWSims name mapping by exact item ID; new set titles and other labels are editorial English translations, not a claim to an official enUS client localization. Missing item details remain unconfirmed.
[2] ItemSetSpell, SpellName and Spell in the same snapshot provide thresholds, effect IDs and source descriptions. Unresolved variables have not been presented as fixed values.
[3] SpellEffect, SkillLineAbility, SkillLine and SpellReagents in the same snapshot provide crafting links and per-recipe materials.
ItemSet and ItemSetSpell are fully decoded in this batch. Some equipment, spell and profession tables contain undecoded sections, and client hotfixes were not applied. The decoded dungeon-journal and loot tables are empty, so no unverified boss drops, vendor coordinates or quest routes are supplied.
