Forever beta item balancing continues, and this round targets the starting zones: a batch of Common (white) drops has been upgraded to Uncommon (green) quality with stat bonuses attached. For levelers, mobs on the road just became worth more.
The 8 confirmed items (before → after)
| Item | Slot / Type | Added |
|---|---|---|
| Ice-covered Bracers | Wrist / Leather | +1 Agility |
| Royal Frostmane Girdle | Waist / Mail | +2 Intellect |
| Wendigo Fur Cloak | Back | +1 Strength |
| Wispy Cloak | Back | +1 Spirit |
| Ghostly Bracers | Wrist / Cloth | +1 Intellect |
| Ratty Old Belt | Waist / Leather | +2 Strength |
| Lithe Boots | Feet / Leather | +2 Stamina |
| Fingerless Gloves | Hands / Cloth | +2 Agility |
All are now binds when equipped, with small armor bumps as well (Royal Frostmane Girdle went from 69 to 73).
Coverage and direction
Confirmed drops come mostly from Elwynn Forest and Dun Morogh, with a few in Tirisfal Glades. Wowhead notes "many more similar items will likely be adjusted" — the Alliance-heavy distribution is expected to be balanced out, so Horde players should watch future builds.
What it means for leveling
- Whites picked up along the way go from vendor trash to wearable upgrades, smoothing the early game;
- The value of incidental picks on 1-30 routes rises — pair it with our leveling routes and the starter weapon roadmap to plan early gear pacing;
- Drop rates are unchanged (the items themselves changed) — there is no new reason to farm specifically for these.
