Two weeks into the beta, players have uncovered most of what Blizzard tucked away in World of Warcraft: Forever: a sleeping bag quest chain that crosses two continents, a gear set that turns Cat Form into a snake, a sword a mage builds from a scroll, 40 library books, an axe that mines without the Mining skill, and a frog that sings back at you. Most of these start between levels 14 and 21. A second batch — including a level 60 ring pair and the spring 2027 legendary questline — already sits in the game files, but nobody has earned it in play yet.

This is our write-up of the rolling compilation maintained by Azeroth DB (wowdb.wiki), based on the page as of September 30, 2026. Item names may not be final, and any of this can still change before launch. We track the source page and will update this post as new finds land.

Eight secrets you can earn in the beta right now

Every entry below has already been earned end-to-end by beta players.

1. Cozy Sleeping Bag (level 14)

A hidden six-stop quest chain that starts from either Westfall or the Barrens. It pays out three things: a 12-slot bag, Simple Wood and Flint and Tinder (just enough for your first campfire), and the headline reward — a sleeping bag worth up to 3% bonus experience. The sooner you run it, the more levels you milk out of that buff.

2. Library books (any level)

Forty books are scattered across Azeroth. Ten books earn a necklace, twenty earn a ring, and mages additionally unlock Research. Five higher-tier library rewards exist in the files but aren't obtainable yet, including a level 40 shield (see part two).

3. Rockslicer (level 18 two-handed axe)

Drops from Rhahk'Zor, the rare in The Deadmines. The trick: while wielding it you can harvest Copper, Tin, Silver and Iron veins without ever training Mining. Non-miners who want ore on the side should make the trip just for this axe.

4. First Mate Band (level 17)

Also from The Deadmines, dropped by Mr. Smite. It is one half of the Partners in Crime ring set — the other half is files-only for now (see part two). Even once its stats fall behind, keep it in your bags: it stays relevant all the way to 60.

5. Druid serpent form (around level 20)

Collect the five "of the Fang" pieces from Wailing Caverns and Cat Form stops being a cat — it becomes a snake. This is arguably the beta community's most famous secret form so far.

6. Wolf's Bane (level 20, Forsaken paladins only)

A class quest line running through three dungeons, ending in a weapon that hits wolves and worgen where it hurts. Forsaken paladins can start it from Silverpine Forest.

7. Coldflame Saber (level 21, mages only)

Decipher the Scroll of the Saber to transform Blade of Silverlaine — a Shadowfang Keep drop — into a spellblade that adds 98 Fire damage against frozen targets. Farm the blade and decipher scrolls in the same trips.

8. Musical Gustjumper (pet)

On Zephras Isle at 51.5, 72.1, sing to five frogs — they will sing back, one after another. Finish the tune and the little companion is yours.

Rewards that exist only in the game files

These are in the beta client, but no one has earned them in play yet:

RewardStatus
Band of the Better HalfA level 60 epic ring that completes Partners in Crime. Wearing both rings grants 20 Strength plus a chance to become Angry for 50 more Strength
Blessing of Kalimdor set (3 pieces)Leveling set whose bonus adds 5% movement speed in the Barrens and Stonetalon Mountains
Five higher library rewardsInclude the Antique Bulwark shield and two level 40 off-hands
Nordrassil branch legendary questlineInvolves Stormwraith, Sylvestris and the Hyjal raids. Blizzard has confirmed only that a legendary item arrives in spring 2027

A sensible order while leveling 1-30

StageWhat to do
Before leaving the isleSkyborne characters: sing to the frogs on Zephras Isle before you leave
Level 14Run the Cozy Sleeping Bag chain — the XP buff pays for itself on every later level
ThroughoutGrab library books whenever your route passes one; ten books by 30 is realistic
Levels 17-18Two Deadmines goals: Rockslicer and the First Mate Band; keep the ring after you replace it
Around 20Druids farm the Fang set in Wailing Caverns; Forsaken paladins start Wolf's Bane in Silverpine Forest
Level 21+Mages camp Shadowfang Keep for Blade of Silverlaine while deciphering saber scrolls

Everything can still change before launch

Per the source page: the international beta runs until October 21 and Forever launches on November 4 (CN realms on November 5). Any reward above can still be retuned before then. We keep this post in sync with the upstream compilation — bookmark it.
