Blizzard has released a new official video for WoW: Forever covering three of the nine dungeons launching with the game. All three serve the leveling route, and the video spells out the setting and gameplay hooks for each. Here is the rundown.

The Hall of Thanes

Sits beneath the throne of Ironforge. For Alliance characters it fills the role Ragefire Chasm plays for the Horde: the first dungeon on the leveling road. In the setting, Dark Iron dwarves have tunneled into the halls to loot the kings of Ironforge, and restless spirits haunt the halls.

Ruins of Lordaeron

The entire dungeon plays out across the castle, crawling with undead. It is also the showcase for Forever's new lighting system: the dungeon sits fully outdoors, so the fog, lighting and shadows are deliberately put on display. If you want to see the art changes for yourself, this is the dungeon to run.

Excavation Site: Wetlands

A dwarven expedition came to the Wetlands to dig, and things went sideways. Players are tasked with finding out what happened. The gameplay hook is the tall grass: raptors nest in it, some of them stealthed, so careless pathing gets you ambushed.

The remaining six launch dungeons have not been revealed in this video yet; more introductions are expected to follow. While leveling, work these dungeons into your route to make the most of quest and experience rewards.
