Note: this lead was originally published on October 12, 2026 by wow-forever.gg — a data-mining recap, not breaking news.
wow-forever.gg has surfaced a batch of changes to the Inspect UI in the beta client: a new label, new frame files, all pointing at "looking at another character" being expanded. Everything below is data mining; Blizzard has not announced it.
What was found
- New interface text INSPECT_TALENTS: "View Talents" — the Inspect window may gain a talent-related button or section.
- New frame files: inspectguildframe.lua/xml and inspectpvpframe.lua/xml under
blizzard_inspectui/camelot/, named for guild and PvP contexts. - The
blizzard_inspectuiaddon itself was updated, and an older overrides file was removed — the Inspect UI's organization is being reworked.
How it seems to be shaping up
Judging by the file names, the Inspect window may gain context-specific views: a guild view when inspecting a guildmate, a combat-oriented view for PvP opponents, each as its own area or tab — while "View Talents" hints you may eventually browse another character's talent choices directly, without asking "what's your build?" or reaching for an external tool.
Why it matters
If this ships, the most immediate beneficiaries are group organizers and recruiters: checking whether an applicant's build matches the plan, or glancing at an opponent's setup in a battleground, becomes a right-click away. For theorycrafters it is also a shortcut for comparing real in-use talent setups against their own. What exactly gets shown, and how it is laid out, remains for Blizzard to reveal.
If you want to plan your own talents ahead of any Inspect changes, the talents database has every talent in detail and builds carries full per-class plans; we will follow this feature as builds land.
