Blizzard has revealed a brand-new battleground for Forever: Battle for the Darkspear Islands — a map that never existed in the original game. It sits off the coast of Dustwallow Marsh, where the Horde's Darkspear Raiders clash with the Alliance's Theramore Expeditionary Force over strategic footholds.

The rules on one card:

  • Type: 15v15 capture-point map with a flag capture twist
  • Levels: 30-60
  • Victory: first team to 2,000 points
  • Scoring: four capture points across the islands — the more you hold, the faster you score — plus a central flag you can carry back to a captured base for bonus points

"Points plus flag" means nobody gets to idle: splitting to defend versus balling up for the flag is a live call every match.

Queueing: three ways — a battlemaster in any capital city, or the field bases with direct portals (Horde at the Darkspear Raiders camp on the Merchant Coast in the Barrens, Alliance at the Theramore Expeditionary Force base at Northwatch).

Reputation and rewards: each faction has a reputation track (Darkspear Raiders / Theramore Expeditionary Force) with vendors selling trinkets, rings, cloaks, weapons and armor at rep thresholds; battleground quests award Marks of Honor, and Exalted unlocks a short questline for the faction's exclusive tabard.

Together with the just-revealed PvP progression system (Honor, Rank Points, seasonal tasks), Forever's PvP framework is now essentially complete: queue low-barrier battlegrounds for Honor, plan Rank Points around the weekly cap, and grind two reputation tracks for gear. For the gear baseline before you queue, read the PvP progression breakdown; for hitting level 30 fast, the leveling route; and Dustwallow-area exploring pairs nicely with the amazing places map.
