A note on timing: the original report published on October 9 (more than 48 hours ago); this is a roundup with the latest state. Everything remains subject to Beta changes.
A couple of days ago we covered how Horde players who complete the City of Dalaran dungeon and its quest chain can freely enter the city — coins in the fountain included. Now comes the official second half of that story: it wasn't intended.
Blizzard's Josh Greenfield clarified on X that Horde having full access to Dalaran is not the expected behavior, and the team will be looking at it. One fix is already locked in: the Kirin Tor reputation exploit for Horde has been fixed internally and should ship with next week's build.
The practical read for Horde:
- The attunement chain itself is by design: completing the dungeon and earning the Dalaran Sewer Key works exactly as written.
- The city perks are in limbo: free roaming, supplies, mage training, fountain coin fishing — all still currently available, but officially flagged for adjustment. Treat them as a temporary Beta state, not a permanent benefit, and don't plan around them.
We'll keep watching the next builds for the actual change. If you haven't run the chain yet, the full walkthrough is in our Horde attunement guide; the dungeon lives in the dungeon atlas and the version timeline on the roadmap.
