Scope: This is a Classic route reference, not a fully tested Forever route. Verify recipe thresholds, quantities, yields and Legacy effects in the current client before buying materials.
The first secondary everyone should learn
Cooking takes no primary slot, its ingredients are the meat you looted and the fish you caught — skipping it means leaving free self-healing food and gold on the ground. Forever's boost for cooking is the most direct in the whole Legacy tree:
- Master Chef (Legacy professions line): cooking recipes gain a 10-50% chance to produce an extra result — wholesale pricing on raid food.
- 44 new recipes (beta datamining): raid food and utility recipes are all being refreshed.
The 1-300 route
No real level-gate pressure: cook what you kill; buy meat when short and recipes from trainers and vendors. Classic-base brackets:
| Skill | Make | Materials |
|---|---|---|
| 1-50 | Spice Bread, boar steaks | Meat, Mild Spices |
| 50-125 | Smoked meat, fish fillets and crab legs | Various meat, fish |
| 125-200 | Bird and mussel recipes | Quail, clam meat |
| 200-250 | Wolf and bear recipes | Wolf ribs, bear meat |
| 250-300 | Winter Squid, Night Fin — the raid-food line | Coastal and Winterspring fish |
Three habits: Cooking + Fishing is the other classic pair (Fishing 1-300); 250-300 raid food is the steadiest raid-season seller; Forever's campsite system has cooking spots — eat where you level instead of running back.
The Legacy line
Master Chef (cooking-exclusive), Working Overtime (+4-20% skill-up chance applies here too), Dedicated Study (daily +1 for the tail points). Full table on the Legacy page.
